The Visitor Studies Group: Championing excellent visitor experiences
Following the success and feedback from our “Access all Areas?” event last year in Edinburgh, we are excited to offer a similar session in Manchester that focuses on access and accessibility within the cultural sector.
Aimed at people who work in visitor studies, learning and engagement, “Access All Areas?” will take a deeper look at current projects and training and discuss new challenges and resolutions to physical, sensory and intellectual barriers.
This also marks our first VSG event in Manchester and we are delighted it will be hosted at the Whitworth on Wednesday 11th November 2015.
Call for submissions: we want to hear from you!
We are keen to include presentations and case-studies from organisations and individuals who are working with current and potential audiences with additional access requirements, and examples of where audience research and consultation has influenced content, layout, policy and interpretation.
Our events are based on sharing ideas, projects and experiences and are intended to create wider discussions between delegates and opportunities for networking. We hope to include a range of session formats – case studies, interactive workshops, presentations and panels sessions. These should last between 30 – 60 mins. Please let us know what format best fits with your proposal – other creative formats are also welcome.
If you would like to be part of this event then please submit a proposal to us using THIS FORM.
Final date for proposal submissions is Monday 28th September 2015.
