I offer reliable, professional and affordable visitor research, evaluation and marketing consultancy for museums and heritage organisations. Familiar with small budgets, limited resources and tight turn-arounds, I provide insights into existing and potential audiences which lead to practical, actionable outcomes – for marketing plans, funding applications, interpretation planning and evaluation, audience development and activity plans.
I have over 10 years’ experience in visitor research and marketing for the cultural sector. Most recently, I worked as part time Visitor Research Officer (maternity cover) for the Victoria and Albert Museum in 2014. Before returning to consultancy work in 2011, I held the post of Marketing Manager at Bishopsgate Institute, a library, archive and cultural centre in central London, for six years. There, I led on audience research, evaluation and brand development for a £7 million capital project and contributed to a successful £1.55 million application to the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Previous to this, I was Research and Marketing Consultant at ABL Cultural Consulting where I undertook research and evaluation work, as well as marketing and audience development, for a range of clients in the heritage and cultural sector.
In addition to the Visitor Studies Group, I am a member of the Market Research Society, Chartered Institute of Marketing, Arts Marketing Association and Museums Association, and am committed to following the Market Research Society Code of Conduct.
